Impress friends and families with Super Simple Strawberry Recipes


 

Viola's Strawberry Bread

 

3 Cups flour

2 cups sugar

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

3 eggs well beaten

3/4 cup vegetable oil

2 1/2 cups sliced strawberries, drained

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

 

Combine dry ingredients.  Add eggs and oil, stirring briefly. Fold in berries and optional nuts.

Fill 3 large loaf pans. Bake for 45 minutes in a 325 Fahrenheit oven. Cool slightly before removing from pans.

                                                                           

Strawberry Butter

1 cup softened butter

1/4 cup strawberry preserves

1/4 cup fresh, finely chopped strawberries

 

In a small bowl, combine softened butter, preserves and fresh chopped strawberries, stirring until smooth.

Set aside for immediate use or store in refrigerator for later use.

Serve with strawberry bread or muffins for a yummy treat.

 

 

Easy Strawberry Lemonade

 

1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

4 1/2 cups water

1 (10 ounce) package frozen strawberries, partially thawed

 

In a large pitcher, mix together lemonade concentrate and water. Stir in strawberries.

Makes 10 servings.

 

Can also substitute pink lemonade for regular lemonade.

 

 

Strawberry Banana Pops

 

1 (3 1/4 ounce) package instant banana cream pudding mix (regular, not sugar-free)

1 3/4 cups milk

2 cups sliced strawberries

1 tablespoon sugar

 

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour into Popsicle molds and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Servings: 8

 

Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles

 

3 cups plain yogurt

1 cup frozen chopped strawberries, partially thawed

1/ 2 lime

 

In a bowl mix yogurt, frozen fruit and juice from 1/2 of lime.

Pour into Popsicle molds.

Freeze for at least 2 hours.

Servings: 8-12

 

Strawberry Parfaits

 

Strawberry sauce

Vanilla Angel Food cake, or pound cake, cut up in small cubes

Vanilla Yogurt

Fresh strawberries for accent, granola for accent

 

In small dessert bowls layer cubed cake, vanilla yogurt and strawberry sauce. Repeat layers and top off parfaits with a few fresh strawberry slices and granola (optional)

Chill until ready to serve.

 

Super Simple Angel Delight

 

Angel Food Cake

Strawberry Sauce

Cool Whip or whipped Cream

Fresh Strawberries

 

For a super simple and super fast dessert, simply slice angel food cake and place on individual serving plates. Drizzle with strawberry sauce. Top with a dollop of Cool Whip and additional fresh strawberries if desired. ENJOY!!

 

Strawberry Sauce

 

1 (10 ounce) package frozen sliced strawberries, in syrup

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 cup sliced fresh strawberries

 

Puree frozen strawberries in a blender. Stir cornstarch into blended strawberries and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly for 1 minute, or until thickened.  Remove from heat; stir in fresh strawberries and let cool.

Cover, and chill 4 hours at least.

Makes about 1-1 1/2 cups of sauce
